Scenario projections
The EDGAR method for emissions calculation can also be used together with scenario model projections of future activity patterns to estimate future emissions. Within the FP6 project CIRCE: Climate Change and Impact Research: the Mediterranean Environment the JRC EDGAR team has estimated emissions for the coming 4 decades. Scenario projections for the energy-related sectors were taken from the macroeconomic model POLES, while the integrated model IMAGE was used for the agriculture-related sectors.
The EDGAR team was involved in the scenario projections for:
- the FP6 project: Climate Change and Impact Research: the Mediterranean Environment (CIRCE)
