In EDGAR v4.2 FT2012 emissions are calculated for the greenhouse gases CO2, CH4 and N2O from 1970 to 2012 based on the energy balance statistics of IEA (2013). For each substance emissions timeseries (1970-2012) by country are provided in an overview table (.xls).
Emission country totals are expressed in kton (Gg) substance / year.
the GHG emission timeseries are expressed in CO2 equivalents, using the GWP 100 metrics of SAR.
